Egyptian Minister of Sports witnesses signing protocol for discovering football young talents

Ashraf Sobhy Minister of youth and sports, witnessed today the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between Ministry of youth and sports and the Dutch company StarLab, to discover young talents in football as a national project named " Stars of Egypt", according to the directives of his Excellency president Abdel Fattah El Sisi the Egyptian president, to increase the base of sports practice and discover talents in football all over Egypt.

The signing ceremony was attended by Amr Mhanna Regional Director of Star Lab company in Egypt, Middle East and Africa, David Hobson Chairman of the Board of Directors of PFSA association for talents scouts world wide, Dean White House, Training Consultant and talent Identification and Development at the Association, Major General Mohamed Nour Salem, Executive manager in the Ministry of youth and sports.

According to the protocol, the project will start in different governorates of the republic in several phases, starting with tests and physiological measurements to determine the talent, then training for the selected young talents in training centers covering all governorates, Finally the most skilled are to be trained by Egyptian and foreign specialists.

In his speech, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy pointed to the directives of the political leadership to discover young talents in all fields, pointing to the ministry's programs for discovering talents in the artistic and literary fields through “Ebdaa” competition for youth centers and “Knooz” competition. Besides the discovery of talented athletes in a project implemented by the Ministry in coordination with one of the bodies to discover talented in a range of sports.

The Minister of Youth and Sports explained that the signing of today's protocol comes as an announcement to launch the implementation of the project "Stars of Egypt" to select talented people in football in a scientific and thoughtful manner and work to train them and help them to professionalism, praising the participation of the PFSA Association of talent scouts in the world, which will contribute significantly in the selection of young people according to the scientific standards of football tests.

On the other hand, Amr Mhanna expressed his hope to develop football in Egypt and form a platform for talents to include all the most promising players in football between the ages of 6 to 18 years. Outlining the overall objectives of the program and the stages of its implementation. He praised the cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in this national project.
